THE PEOPLE'S GOVERNMENT OF FINLAND
GREETS THE RED ARMY

To the People's Commissar for Defence of the Soviet Union
Kliment Iefremovich VOROSHILOV

THE HIGHLY ESTEEMED MARSHAL OF THE SOVIET UNION!

The People's Government of Finland congratulates the Red Army of Workers and Peasants for the great victories it has gained in the freedom fight against the Finnish butchers, enemies of our nation and the Soviet peoples.

The whole world sees that there are no fortresses unbeatable to the Red Army. All sincere friends of the Finnish people in every country, where ever they are, will be inspired by the victories of the Soviet heroes in Finland. They know that the great Soviet Union will safeguard the independence of our country against the desires of imperialistic villains and ensures so a free and peaceful life to our people. The invincible Red Army and Navy will soon provide a full freedom to our people from beneath the brutal yoke of the plutocrats, from claws of the criminal gang of Mannerheim, Ryti and Tanner, bribed by foreign imperialistic provokers of war.

On the 22nd anniversary of Workers' and Peasants' Red Army the People's Government of Finland request you, most horourable Marshal of the Soviet Union, to extend the deep gratitude of the toiling people of Finland to all Red Army detachments now active in Finland as well as to the Baltic squadrons of the Soviet Navy. The heroic deeds of Soviet warriors, the already won victories of infantrymen, artillerists, aviators and the Red marines will show to everybody that the day when a complete victory over the enemies of the Finnish people and Soviet peoples will be won, will soon come.

Long live the liberating heroic Red Army!

Long live the People's Commissar of Defence, Marshal of the Soviet Union, Kliment Iefremovich Voroshilov!

Long live Iosif Vissarionovich STALIN - great friend of the people of Finland! Friend of freedom and brotherhood between all nations!

On behalf of the People's Government of Finland
OTTO KUUSINEN.
